FC 24 game no longer starts! Although everything was working fine last night.
Until yesterday evening (02/20/2024 20:00 GMT) the game started and worked fine, I played without any problems for about 3 weeks.
But the game intentionally froze in some menus, and I exited it via Alt+F4.
After 1.5 hours I tried to start the game again, but it doesn't start again until now (it's been over a week since then)!
The game was purchased through Steam. I start the game, first EA App automatically starts, then EA Anti-Cheat, but after the check is over nothing happens — no game window, no icon in taskbar! No errors are displayed.
At the same time in Steam and EA App is displayed that the game is running, as well as in the Task Manager are running as processes EA App and EA Anti-Cheat, and FC24.exe.
I have already tried many troubleshooting, but nothing below has worked:
- I have run the game's "File Integrity Check" several times in Steam;
- I have tried manually updating EA App and EA Anti-Cheat;
- I completely uninstalled EA App and EA Anti-Cheat and reinstalled them;
- I've already reinstalled the video card driver twice to the latest version;
- I checked the PC for viruses;
- I disabled absolutely every background application that can be disabled before tried to run the game;
- I have tried deleting the FC 24 folder in My Documents;
- I checked the update log to see that Windows hasn't received any updates since the last successful launch of the game;
- I configured to run with administrator privileges to all executable files on the EA app directory according to these instructions, and also for FC24.exe;
- I have already tried and complete uninstallation of the game with cleaning all remaining folders and registry cleanup, followed by reinstalling the game again;
- I used both of the following commands in Terminal to restore system files and component storage: sfc /scannow and Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth;
- I've reset all the Windows Firewall settings and tried changing the network type;
- I have installed all possible certificates for both files (EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe and EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.dll) according to these instructions;
- I tried disabling "Optimizations for windowed games" in Windows settings.
I would like to point out that between the time when the game last started and worked and when it stopped working, I did nothing on the PC, I did not reconfigure anything, no Windows updates came. Just out of the blue the game stopped starting so far! Screens of all applications attached.
P.S. Sorry that some part of the screenshot shows in Ukrainian, but I've attached that so you can verify that it says FC24 is already supposedly running. But it isn't…

I think I may have found the solution:The game started to run after I turned on "Disable Full screen Optimization" in FC24.exe properties!Although I had already tried to disable this "optimizations" in Windows Preferences before, and it didn't work.Only one thing is frustrating: in order to solve this problem, it took me VERY MANY hours to complete the previous 14 attempts to solve the problem; to talk in EA chat with two different technical support consultants; to write messages here on the forum… And nobody told me that the problem with launching can be solved in a couple of seconds by enabling only one checkbox in the file properties!
