Hi, I am a beginner with all this so please be patient. My son downloaded FC24 onto his Nintendo Switch and he can play offline but it will not connect online. It hasn't given him an option nor can we find how to log into his EA sport account so I'm not sure whether this is the problem or not? A message just keeps popping up saying "This account can't get online. There are a few reasons why this might be. See https://ea.com/unable-to-connect for possible reasons and some troubleshooting you can try." I have done this but nothing helpful comes up. Any ideas???

Yooooo! This is the problem! I had the same problem as all the other posters. You have to have an Adult Nintendo Switch account AND and Adult EA Games account. Frustrating, but we're playing right now!

@c12f15k19 This is exactly the problem we’re having and I don’t know why. We can play every other game we have online but not this one for the same exact reason you described.

Exactly the problem I have, it won't even allow me into online account settings cause of no connection, I sent an email to EA but no response yet

If you hear from them can you let me know. I went into EB games today and asked them and they said I needed an online account so I have created that but still hasn’t changed anything. If I get to the bottom of it I will let you know.

@c12f15k19 There are two potential causes for the issue. Firstly, if your son's account is considered underage in accordance with the COPPA law, he will be restricted from playing online games. Secondly, your Nintendo might not be linked with your EA account. Please check the 'connections' section in your account settings. If it's not linked, proceed to establish the connection.

@FlashPotato A couple of workarounds have been identified for this issue:

A: Docking the Switch and displaying on your TV/Monitor should allow you to link accounts without issue.

B: For Switch Lite: If you press A on the screen to continue instead of clicking on the touchscreen it should continue through the linking process.

I have exactly the same issue - Have just been on a chat with EA Sports and told they are aware of the issue. No clue on when it will be resolved though
I couldn't find a way to link Nintendo account with EA sports account.
Annoyingly spent too long on this today with no resolution.

We are having the same issue, 2 long chats with EA support and no resolution. everything they said that would work has failed. It’s disgusting that they can release a game that’s not even functional then try to blame the user for not setting up the device properly. My son has never been anboe to play this game since we purchased it a month ago.
Every other game we have no issues with. What a joke!
