@dj_j0hn163I play with 120hz set on my monitor and 60fps lock, I get the stuttering after a playstyle plus procs. The weird thing is, messing with the graphics settings, turning things on and off and opening/closing the game fixes it, then it returns. I believe it has something to do with the settings not saving bug, and even after changing settings, settings not applying. Randomly messing with them works. You can actually cap your fps in game and use vsync with no noticeable lag this way, but it takes messing around when it stops working properly. Very annoying, very disapointing.
I play on a 1080p monitor and have that as my resolution in game. The weird thing is, when things are working and its not stuttering after a playstyle plus animation, and when vsync is working and i'm not getting tearing or flickering, when I alt+tab out, I can see the game is running in a 1080p window (if that makes sense). Alt tabbing when things are bugging out, I can see the window is smaller as though it thinks its a 4k window or something, despite me never having set this in display settings.
- @Tasmanaut for me on 120 hz it lags and shutters alot..and also capping at 60fps , i have to manually use 240hz and uncap fps, with, with adaptive refresh rate on nvidia panel it works better, as for the settings been reset..if you manually change settings from the fc24setup file, avoid going into the display settings ,one change and will reset . the best is first setup the settings ingame then manually edit, so far it works well for me 140 fps ingame and 100+fps in cutscenes, only thing is input lag at times
@dj_j0hn163 Hi, im using laptop gaming and when i change the setting in controll panel at Vertical Sync, I dont have adaptive, i have OFF, ON, FAST which one should i choose ? Thanks for your help !!!
- @JustaTea26 turn off Gsync then you will have adaptive option..for me the game is worse on gsync
as I said, it did for me too, until I changed then unchanged it, opened and closed the game multiple times. I can't run the fps uncapped, I have to cap at 60 because of my GPU overheating (it's a blower and it sucks). I could probably run at 120 fps in game but the cutscenes absolutely make my gpu scream, I can have them at 30ps (so half) for it to be acceptable. Also, not enably gsync gives tearing and screen flickering, it has to be enabled for me.
I think you are adjusting things thinking it's helping but not really understanding the issue. The issue is that the settings bug out and switch to things you haven't set them too, and then change randomly to things that make it stutter, tear and flicker.
@Tasmanautits not the settings thats problem of the game, its high cpu usage and rendering thats buged, which highly doubt ea will even fix or will even get fixed in future games, was same with fifa 23 the game is cpu bound which needs to be fixed
