Laggy Gameplay On Highspeed Internet

Hey there, i've been experiencing laggy gameplay on highspeed internet with very low ping but a few days back when i was travelling, ive played the game using the hotel's wifi with much lower speed but i can run the game very smoothly. All these while i thought my laptop was the problem but it seems as now that its something maybe related to the internet or maybe the location or anything else? (Not a hardware problem). I've been wondering if anyone have been experiencing the same problem as me, or does anyone know how can I fix this? It is very stressful for me as i can't play any modes at all be it UT or Clubs.

  • The game is a nutshell.

    It is a mystery.

I have superfast WiFi, a great router. New QLED tv and EA tell me my connection is great.

But I get glitchy gameplay even on squad battles. On rush Im playing a different game to everyone else.

No answers available here though. Someone will be among shortly to tell you all issues are at your end.

  • You might be having packet loss or your connection fluctuates. Look at your connection score here and check your match history to compare the two.

You can also run the online input overlay on in game. This will show you how much delay you have.  One controller is connected to your local and one to the server.

If say you can see 2-3 seconds of delay with your home connection and not on wifi you know it’s your home connection.  This would show you the difference between the two connections.

Here is ea help page explaining more below.

EAS FC uses game data centers so that someone else’s connection doesn’t impact your own gameplay. The game data center handles the distribution of gameplay information to all players.

The center collects inputs from your game at a set interval of time, and then sends this information back to everyone else in a match. This happens at the same time for all players and is determined by their individual connections.

For example, if one player is streaming 4K movies and trying to play on a weak Wi-Fi signal, their activities shouldn’t impact anyone else in that match. The game data center still sends the information back at the same time.

A game data center acts as the host of the match in multiplayer matches.

EAS FC will always try to connect you to online matches on your best game data center. Although that’s often the nearest one, this isn’t always the case.

Internet service providers (ISP) generally don’t send data from Point A to Point B directly. They route this data across locations, sometimes across the globe. This can be a physical networking infrastructure limitation of some ISPs or part of their business model. These decisions are ultimately handled by ISPs based on their unique needs and situations.

In some cases, your connection to a game data center is the best connection available at the moment, even if it’s farther away. However, your connection can be routed elsewhere if internet issues impact the route that your network traffic would normally take, or if one of our game data centers is experiencing technical problems.
