I have to verify the game files in Steam frequently

I've been experiencing some bugs lately, and I'm not sure why. Sometimes my controller isn’t detected when I start my game, which forces me to unplug and replug it for it to work. Other times, the game lags excessively, as if I'm using a Pentium processor, and it also freezes sometimes. These issues seem to resolve temporarily when I verify the game files on Steam. However, having to verify the files three to four times a week is concerning, especially since I didn't encounter any of these problems in FC 24. Is there a permanent fix for this?
