Issue with Nvidia driver and FC25

Question

Since updating the NVIDIA driver to version 572.47 on February 20, every time I open FC25, the screen goes black and the computer freezes. However, if I revert back to driver version 572.42, the game loads fine. All my other games, like Forza Horizon 5 and MSFS 2024, run without any issues. FC25 is the only game affected. I would prefer not to revert to version 572.42. I am currently using NVIDIA driver version 572.60 and would prefer not to revert to version 572.42.

I recently turned on Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, to be able to use Frame Gen in MSFS 2024.

Could uninstalling and reinstalling FC25 resolve this issue? What other steps should I take?

Using the NVIDIA App, I set the game to run in windowed mode, and while it launched successfully, the performance was riddled with severe stutters, making it unplayable. I then disabled Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling (HAGS), restarted the system, and the game ran smoothly without freezing the PC. It appears that FC25 is incompatible with HAGS when using the latest NVIDIA driver. I’ll make a note of this for future gaming sessions with FC25. However, I plan to re-enable the feature when playing MSFS2024.
