Can you please try to lower the UAC settings:
You can change the UAC behavior by opening the Control Panel > System and Security > Change User Account Control settings.
Move the slider to your desired level of notification and select OK to save your changes.
Once that's done, try also a Clean Boot to make sure that there's no other app conflicting with the EA app: How to clean or safe boot your computerThen restart your PC and try to download again. yes i have already tried that too. but it dont work 😞

In this case, can you try setting up a new Windows admin account and try installing the game with this account? Manage user accounts in Windows
ok so i tried this now and the issue remains the same. i remember it started when ea app updated itself the last time. but nobody else on the internet seems to be having this issue
the games i had installed before the update are no longer in the library. and when i try to play the,m it just says preparing. and nothing happens

Since you mentioned the games are no longer in your library, are you trying to launch them via desktop shortcut?
yes exactly. and from their folders as well. but it just shows preparing for an infinite amount of time and leads to nothing

Thanks for the clarification. The problem here seems to be that you're not logged in to the correct EA account. To fix this issue, you will need to log in to the EA app with the correct EA account where you can see your games. If you cannot find this account yourself, please contact EA Help Support so they can assist you with that.
no no. this is the correct account. i have been using it for almost ten years. and i am logged in correctly

In this case, if you can see the games in the library in a different device with the same account, that indicates that there might be a local issue on your device.
I suggest that you use Ccleaner to remove the EA app and install it again on your local device.
To delete them, you can try using CCleaner to clear out issues and errors.
For instructions on how to use Ccleaner to uninstall apps, click here.
While we suggest using CCleaner, EA does not provide user support for this program–use it at your own risk. Please follow any installation guides straight from CCleaner when installing and performing program set-up. You can find help on CCleaner’s support page.

Ok so once you reinstall the EA app, please try clearing its cache:
- Open the Start menu.
- Open All Apps.
- Find the EA folder and click the downward arrow to expand.
- Select App Recovery.
- A confirmation window will pop up.
- Click Clear Cache.
