“Pro Clubs GK: Auto Positioning Feels Too Optimal and Reduces Skill Expression”

This feedback is about Goalkeeper gameplay in Pro Clubs,
from the perspective of a player who mainly plays GK manually.

At the moment, auto positioning feels extremely consistent and close to optimal.
It does not feel like a tool that assists players,
but rather a system that removes positioning mistakes entirely.

Because of this, one of the most important parts of GK play —
initial positioning, angle management, and small distance adjustments —
is often handled by the system instead of the player.

Combined with strong visual shot cues,
GK gameplay can start to feel more like a timing-based reaction game,
rather than a role based on reading situations and making decisions.

This is not about making GK weaker or stronger,
but about preserving skill expression.
Manual positioning involves risk, mistakes, and learning,
and those elements are what make the role interesting and competitive.

I believe manual GK play should be rewarded more,
and auto positioning assistance slightly reduced,
so that decision-making and game reading matter again in Pro Clubs.

  • If i could downvote this i would.. why change something that already works, and making something harder for others only for your own good?  smh

    I understand that perspective.

My intention isn’t to make things harder for others, or to remove accessibility.
Auto positioning can be helpful, especially for players who don’t main GK.

My concern is specifically about skill differentiation in Pro Clubs,
where manual GK play involves risk, learning, and decision-making.

Ideally, there should be room for both:
accessibility for casual players, and deeper control for those who choose to play manually.

That balance is what I hope can be explored.
