Feedback on Pack Distribution: Item Familiarity & First Owner Progression

First and foremost, this is intended as constructive feedback regarding the balance of item distribution in FC 26. As a long time Premier League fan, my primary engagement is with the men’s game, though I fully support the inclusion and growth of women’s football in the FC ecosystem, including FC26🙌.

Clarification on Content Satisfaction:

I want to be clear that I am satisfied with the quality of cards I am receiving in terms of ratings and Promo items. My feedback is not about "bad pack luck," as the value of the content is satysfactory. However, there is a significant discrepancy regarding Pack Weighting and High-Rated Walkout Frequency that affects the user experience.

While the total database of male players in FC 26 significantly outweighs the number of female players, my data shows a consistent 80% frequency for female items in high-rated slots. This creates several points of technical and economic friction:

Market Economy & Item Familiarity:

I understand that pack distribution is intrinsically linked to the Transfer Market and internal game economy. However, it deteriorates the experience to consistently pack high-rated cards that I am unfamiliar with. A core pillar of Ultimate Team is the emotional connection between the digital pitch and the real-world sport; when the majority of "Walkouts" feature players the user does not follow, that payoff is diminished. Landing female walkouts 80% of the time suggests a potential algorithmic bias in the distribution metrics.

This leads to a repetitive cycle of receiving the same high-rated female items as "fodder," which are then recycled into SBCs only to be returned in the very next pack. I am concerned that this specific mechanic may actually be detrimental to the image of women’s football; when the distribution feels forced rather than organic, it can lead to user frustration that builds with every pack opened. This is the opposite of the positive engagement the sport deserves.

Impact on "First Owner" Objectives: This weighting creates a bottleneck for First Owner objectives. Because the frequency is heavily skewed toward female items, it is increasingly difficult to build a competitive, first-owner squad of male players. This forces a reliance on the Transfer Market for players I am familiar with, which contradicts the "First Owner" gameplay loop intended for many objectives.

Equal Treatment and Representation: I am advocating for true parity where both men’s and women’s items have an equal chance of appearing relative to their actual presence in the global database. Currently, it feels as though the frequency is being artificially boosted for one group. A balanced distribution would ensure that all players are treated equally and that the experience remains organic for all types of fans.

Data Request to the Community:

I would be interested to know if other players are experiencing a similar ratio. Are your high-rated walkouts aligning with the global database size, or are you also seeing a significant skew toward one category?

Concluding Thoughts:

I recognize the talent in the women's game and wish for the best for the sport's future. My feedback is purely about the consistency of the pack experience and the desire for a distribution that reflects the global player pool fairly.

I hope this feedback is received in the spirit of maintaining the integrity and fairness of the "Ultimate Team" experience for everyone. ☮️
