Is EAFC Still Fun for Non-Pros?
Input Delay
I play on PC and Xbox, using a wired connection for my controller to eliminate input lag. I also use a LAN connection with 900 Mbps, yet I still experience severe input delays, sometimes my input doesn’t register at all.
Defending Mechanics
In my opinion, the game is increasingly being tailored to suit pro gamers, largely because they get frustrated when average players give them a challenge. The problem is, not everyone can manage the “Competitive” game setting. Average or novice players who want to play online simply can’t cope with defenders standing still and doing nothing, or with every shot and pass requiring pinpoint precision.
Fairness and Choice
I believe every player, whether pro, average, or novice - should have the option to choose whether they want a competitive setting or not. It’s unfair that all players are forced to play under conditions designed for the pros.
In my view, pro gamers make up less than 5% of the EAFC community, which is why the game is becoming increasingly unpopular.
