Manager career inconstant

An issue I commonly find being a career mode player is an inconsistency with TOTS. How have I had a player win golden boot, too assisted and won the league + the treble and he’s not in the team of the season. Further more a good keeper who won golden glove should be in the TOTS. If it is down to who had the highest overall average rating per game over the course of the seasons that doesn’t make any sense because milestones should matter, and top goal scorer and top assisted should = TOTS especially when they got player of the season, just inconsistent and illogical. Also reference images for players sometimes show as a a blank face with opponent kit on during pre game. Another minor issue but still breaks the wall.
