Manager CM National Teams
We need so, so many more National teams for all modes. That’s clear from everyone who plays this game. Especially for those of us who play Career Mode. For Manager CM specifically, you get the option to manage a National team. This is a great option, not realistic, but I appreciate it. It was fantastic when we had more teams and licensed tournaments to play in CM. Now, it’s pretty useless. If you manage a European team then you’ll get a fake Euros that’s only slightly fun the first time and then it’s the same tournament with the same teams each time. Outside of European nations, there is literally no reason at all to manage them.
What is needed is simply way more National teams added to the game and then more tournaments with licensing or without. We love the authenticity but if you can’t get it give us generic. It’s better than nothing.
For Manager CM, I would love to see a National team scout added so after accepting a job we can have our scout keep track of players. I’ll use Germany for my example. During the season, I should have a scout tracking German players across all leagues and comps and when squad selection time comes, I’ll have a list of my top players and those who are in top form at that specific time. Maybe I find a hidden gem playing in Denmark or Romania who wasn’t on my radar but is in really great form so he gets a call up. There should also be the addition of dual nationalities. If a player can potentially rep more than one nation and is on the fringes or maybe not in the squad of his preferred nation I should have the option to try and get them to swap. This could work exactly like transfers. We choose how strict in settings and have the option to get any player who can to move or make it more difficult to get players to swap. EA, you guys have a great template for this in the COLLEGE FOOTBALL ‘25 prospect scouting system. You can text players. Call them. Check their social media, etc. That would be great in FC!
Ultimately, my primary request is to simply have more National teams to choose from. All the other additions in future titles would be fantastic but I mean come on EA. You guys used to just throw generic National teams in there and we accepted it. The players are there, let’s get the teams!
