Player switching L1 and right stick is all over the place

I do not know what happened between this FC26 and FC25 but player switching experience has been horrible this year... Most of the games I lost have been due to horrible logic in player switching....I have tried all of it. Right stick, L1, all the different settings that are offered in player switching (always used classic but now I am experiencing with the other options) but nothing works.

If I have to put a top priority to EA, it would be player switching, otherwise the game is no longer fun if you loose all of your games due to some horrible programming error in player switching
