Severe FPS Drops After Latest Update – PC (Laptop)

Hello EA Support Team,

I am experiencing constant and severe FPS drops in EA FC 26 on PC after the latest update.

Before this update, the game was running smoothly on the same system.

System Specifications:

  • CPU: Intel i7-13600H
  • RAM: 32 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX series (Laptop)
  • Display: 165 Hz
  • OS: Windows 11
  • Platform: EA App / PC

Issue Description:

  • FPS drops occur during matches, not in menus
  • The issue gets worse over time and does not recover
  • Fan noise increases suddenly during FPS drops
  • Alt+Tab or restarting the match does not fix the problem
  • The issue started only after the latest patch

Troubleshooting Already Done:

  • NVIDIA Control Panel set to Prefer Maximum Performance
  • V-Sync disabled (both in-game and NVIDIA)
  • Windows Game Mode enabled
  • Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling disabled
  • Power plan set to High / Ultimate Performance
  • Graphics drivers updated
  • In-game settings optimized (crowd and pitch details reduced)

Despite all these steps, the problem persists.

Request:

I believe this is a known performance bug introduced with the latest update.

I would like confirmation if this issue is being tracked and if a hotfix or patch is planned.

Thank you for your support.

Kind regards,

  • Click win+r type %appdata% remove all ea, go folder back for in temp remove all ea, go nvidia remove all dx nad gl cache, go again in temp within folder remove all ea, remove all shader cache you find, now go to program files remove anti cheat files.

Go to windows settings and turn on hardware graphic acceleration

After that, open nvidia control panel, swicth open gl rendering to nvidia

Turn on vsync and low latency and all graphics low.

Once finished, open game and go to settings and turn on vsync(probably you should do every time)

Maybe in first game you gonna have drop as it has to rebuild all cache

If drops again, put resolution on 1600x900

When buying laptop in future make sure to have mux switch, so cpu will not lose power on assisting the GPU, also don't get 50s(3050) get 60s or 70s(3060/70)

For me it happens in heavy cheat games, mostly when playing pc cheater as they use 5-6 cheats at the time
