Stop Ignoring Broken Mechanics – FC 27 Needs Better Balance and Faster Updates
EA, please don't repeat the same mistake in FC 27.
Why did you completely ignore the through ball meta in FC 26 for the entire year? Players reported the same problem again and again, but nothing meaningful was done. It felt like you were completely out of touch with your own game and ignored what the community was experiencing.
Because of that, formations like 4-4-1-1 and 4-5-1(2) dominated the entire year. The gameplay became predictable: sit back, wait, spam through balls to lengthy wingers, and let broken defensive AI decide the result.
This is not tactical variety. This is one broken mechanic deciding how everyone has to play.
If you cannot properly balance the new tactical system, then bring back the old tactic style with player instructions. At least give players more control over how their team plays instead of forcing everyone into the same few meta tactics.
For FC 27, stop allowing one meta to control the whole game cycle. Balance formations properly. Every tactic should have strengths and weaknesses, and no formation should be able to defend, press, and attack perfectly with no downside.
Fix through balls. A single pass should not destroy an entire defensive line every time.
Fix defensive AI. Defenders should track runs properly instead of freezing, slowing down, or ignoring attackers.
Make manual defending more important and stop relying so heavily on AI. Make constant pressing and offside traps cost real stamina so players have to take risks.
Most importantly, listen to the community and react faster. Do not leave obvious gameplay issues untouched for an entire year again.
We want FC 27 to be a football game where skill, tactics, and creativity matter—not a game where everyone is forced to copy the same broken meta just to compete.
