Authentic online?
I would like to know if “authentic” will be an option for online Seasons? I have been wanting a more realistic gameplay for years and I don’t like to play the CPU.
I would like to know if “authentic” will be an option for online Seasons? I have been wanting a more realistic gameplay for years and I don’t like to play the CPU.
But you can choose to only play people that play ”manual” or semi assisted in Seasons in FC25 so I don’t se why they couldn’t make it so that you can choose between ”authentic” and “arcade” as well.
The issue is and I will always say that full manual on FIFA/EA FC is not that great. For starters you can actually miss the most basic of straight passes. Miss tap ins on 2 yards out. Full manual should also be smart enough to get the majority of basics right. PES used to be fantastic on full manual because yes you really had full control over what you could do but the game was smart enough to make sure the basics worked too. In FIFA/FC people will stop playing full manual right away because the stupidity in passes, runs, and shooting mechanics.
Also @EA
If that stupid moment in your release trailer the other day is a constant online (Marc Cucurella being rainbow flicked) and unable to break the animation so the attacker has full control on completing the move and being non defendable then this game online -SEASONS - is broken before release. No not be putting skill moves in that can't be defended. As I always say and tell others to do. If someone starts spamming that on me and I go a goal up against them it's pass around for the rest of the game. Do not allow people to spam skills and allowing them to be successfully pulled off each time. Not having it.
I really hope you are not trying to make this game for the players who want to skill up the pitch from their own halves. It is ridiculous and makes a mockery out of football.
That was the thing that kept the game semi balanced was realism. Right now people are doing speed boosts with pop and locks with flip flaps into trivela or finesse shots.
The delay they are fixing was what stopped the step over spam. If you remove that on skills then you are going to make it so those speed boosts and pop and locks are no longer slower and breakable.
Besides probably doing it to seasons why do it to ut. I don’t get the arcade we had it at one point.
The 352 emineke lby years with attackers at defense because any defender minus 90 pace couldn’t stop the pace. I feel like an old dinosaur for wanting realism. Maybe this is what the community wants.

Also, Passes better still go a stray at times. If every pass is perfect people will be moaning that they don't get possession. I genuinely feel that Seasons is going to be ruined because of Ultimate Team. Most Seasons players do NOT want UT gameplay.
IF - THE GAME PLAYS LIKE CURRENT FC25 I DONT MIND THAT.
Another concern is if the game starts to repay people who don't think or understand football. I hate it when people get rewarded for unrealistic patterns of play and exploits.
As if FC 25 was realistic?
It’s the worst game ever — full of problems, glitches, insane ball rebounds, and the AI controls everything. There’s no real gameplay. Even the worst players can beat you just because the game is bad. There’s no variety in playstyle that rewards skilled players over casual ones. Everyone is forced to play the same way, even pro players have limited options because of slow skill moves, passing errors, speed issues, and AI players having more influence than the actual opponent, etc.
So don’t act like you’ve mastered football games or that your “realism” take is valid. We want real football in competitive modes — more responsiveness, fewer random errors, and full dependence on the actual skill level of the players themselves.
If you don’t like that, go keep playing the broken game that is FC 25 or stick to your “realistic” gameplay offline.
Right now, EA is finally listening to competitive players and heading in the right direction.
I think like yourself I have been around with this game since day dot on the Sega MegaDrive.
I am at the point if FC26 online in Seasons feels and plays like current FC25 does after the refresh. (Perhaps the refresh was the test to see where to head with the game)? I would not mind that. However, time will tell about situational play because I still feel even with a faster FC25 and it is after the refresh. You can ping pong more and pace shines. But you can still jockey about and close spaces and read the game etc... If 26 removes situational play and replaces football skill and knowledge with playing in to the hands of skill slammers and brain dead football then all hell will break loose.
I can cope with FC25 after the refresh. They sped up animations and agility which is ok. But, if they speed that up 10 fold more then the game will not play right at all. Especially against pace on top of that and silky skills where those dance left and right quickly. That will be a recipe for disaster.
I hope the defending remains lose and taking people on works once they commit one way they are taken out the situation and you can get past them. I hope this won't be arcade to the point of instant reactions and unrealistic direction change as again that will be terrible for the football experience.
Seasons needs to remain somewhat football balanced and not become.a haven for stupid unrealistic skills and stupid long range finessing and trivela goals.
Seasons should never play like UT and vice versa.
Yeah right. Are you referring to playing in to the hands of skilled players being the ones who want to spam unrealistic goals and skill moves up the whole pitch? Because you know that isn't realistic football.
There should certainly be error in the passes too. The occasional rebound goal should remain, same for rebound goals off players after shots etc... if you remove all of that you are going against the grain of any realism.
I think most people welcomed FC25 after the gameplay refresh back in December. If you make the gameplay to inch perfect for so called pros then it will become and absolute joke online.
You better hope they haven't beefed up AI defendong to cope with all of this because if they have expect to come up against walls of defence with those who refuse to be skilled all game long. What your wanting might not play out as perfect as you are hoping for. I will be the first to park the bus and play counter against skill spammers and take great pride in doing so. Been there before with that tactic and no shame in doing so again if it comes to it.
BTW - Never claimed FC25 was perfect/realistic either. But the game before the refresh and after was chaulk and cheese. Anyone would know that. We went from tight cagey games to wide open 9-8 scorelines.
25 has been pushed to arcade after the refresh so yeah 25 is bad. Why would you want to build on that and make it even more arcade. Especially if you dislike it for being arcade.
Also to your point blue I wouldn’t think they will make defense better. So far every patch has nerfed defense and offense has been buffed. 26 going more arcade will likely do the same. As you said we will likely go into double digit scores.
Exactly this. My concern is if they go even further beyond this with speed and skills then it's going to be a chore to play online.
I don’t even consider FC 25 a real game — it was the biggest disgrace in EA’s history.
From the moment it was released until now, it has been incredibly awful, and every update made it worse than the one before. It was never good or even playable, from start to finish.
Anyway, I saw you talking about skill moves and players who heavily rely on them, along with your comment about the new rainbow flick in the FC 26 trailer.
I only agree with you on one thing: the new rainbow flick is unrealistic when used to get past players. But it could be realistic if it were turned into a new passing move while standing still — yes, that actually happens in real life.
But overall, this move — and other skill moves in the game — I think the problem is on your end.
Because simply, there’s something called reading your opponent. You can predict what your opponent is going to do, control your defender, pull him back, and reach the ball before the attacker does.
But if your style of play is just charging straight at the opponent without any anticipation or reading the play — and then you get upset when they perform a skill move and beat you — that’s on you.
Even if someone tries to do skills from one end of the pitch to the other, what are you doing during the match? Just watching? Or do you have 11 players you can use to intercept the ball?
That’s why these are just empty excuses.
