Ea with drop back 451 press and rant in general
Hey Ea, I don't know if you realise, but fewer people are playing every day, and I don't blame them, especially with the newest meta, which makes it drop back press. the amount of times i have versed someone who literally has every player in defence except the striker is insane How am I supposed to attack in a different way when people are blocking every single passing lane and literally getting triple-team pressed? Most of these players also have counter on, so their wingers just run down the wing and over the top through ball, cut inside and score. It is easy to defend, but the build up is almost impossible to stop, so they are bound to score in a game. I've seen the worst with the 451 and the 41212(2). The amount of times all there players almost have 0 energy since they hold R1 on defence and spam offside trap with team press is insane. You would think when someone is tired they would be slower and wouldn't be able to press as high, and make mistakes, but of course EA didn't think of that, so a player of 25% energy is still able to defend a player with 60% stamina and be able to catch up to the player even if they were 1 on 1. The drop back may be worse in all honesty; we need to find a way where people can't just win by having their players press as soon as they lose the ball and everyone drop back to the edge of the D. We need to somehow fix this, or the only people left playing this game will be these kinds of players who are reward hungry. You have patched the game 5 times in the last two weeks. I also understand the casual player, which I consider myself, won't be winning as much with this ai defending and pressing and dropping back, but the casual players who just enjoy playing the game will quit since it is not an enjoyable experience. I haven't really spoken on AI defending, but I feel like everyone understands how annoying it is to verse these kinds of players who just hold the CDM and block every passing lane. It is like EA expects everyone to know every skill to get past the defence or do a Van de Ven run. You have released a product that shouldn't be released since you keep changing it and keep updating and patching the game. I understand the audience wasn't happy about the defending, but it's your product. If you like it the way it is, you shouldn't change it since someone else is complaining about something they can learn, like defending when the game came out and the best players were incredible at defending, and last year's AI defenders were terrible. AI defending, dropping back, and triple-team pressing shouldn't be rewarded with more wins but instead give them motivation to learn the basic mechanics of the game. If I made a board game and people said it was too hard to win since someone knows the best way to win in a competitive way and can easily beat a person who just got it and is learning the basic instructions of the game i would say practice makes perfect and give them tips on how to win by themselves. I wouldn't change the product.
There are multiple ways to try and fix this and combat the upset players in the community. One way is just to make the beta an open beta so everyone can test the gameplay and give you pointers. If you are going to make the beta closed and make extra steps to get accepted into the beta, of course only the diehard sweaty fans would go do EA playtesting compared to a casual who doesn't even know what that is and just wants to play a football game.
The Key is that this is a football game where players want to recreate goals they would want to see or score in real life
