Money for pre-orders usually get taken out a week or two before the games release. I'd suggest going into your xbox settings, going to payment & billing then order history. It should say on the order history 'pre-order: pending' meaning you've pre-ordered the game but the payment hasn't been taken out yet. As long as Fc 26 is there then it's confirmed you've pre-ordered. Hope this helps.

I mean, the game isn't out yet? So no one has the game. It still appears in the xbox library because I pre-ordered so if it's not there then something has gone wrong? If you have proof that the money that came out is connected with FC 26 then maybe ask EA? I'm only answering the quetion that was originally asked, not quite sure how you expect me to explain something I have no experience on 'XD'

Depends on where you preordered from. If you pre ordered from third party like cd keys etc they take it straight away but xbox dont usually take it right away.
Shouldn't ea let you know when you pre order it when the money will be taken out

The billing process can differ depending on the platform and store from which you pre-order.
If you pre-ordered from the EA app, you would have been charged immediately, as explained in this guide.

If you pre-ordered on PlayStation, similarly to the EA app, you should be charged immediately, as mentioned in this PlayStation guide.
If your initial pre-order fails and you need to place a new pre-order now, we can't guarantee that any additional content for pre-ordering the game early will still be granted, as you'd be placing a new pre-order for a different version of the game than the early pre-order one. The cut-off date for the early pre-order was the 26th of August.
