FC 26 PS5 – Manual Transfers Duplicate Players ⭐

Hello,

I would like to report a bug in EA SPORTS FC 26 on PlayStation 5.

This issue is not related to Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Online Seasons, or any online game mode. It happens in the main menu of the game, using the Edit Teams feature to make manual transfers.

Here are the exact steps:

  1. I start the game and go to the main menu.
  2. I open Customize > Edit Teams > Transfers.
  3. I manually transfer a player from one club to another.
  4. The transfer appears to complete successfully.
  5. However, the player is not removed from the original club. Instead, the player is copied to the new club, so the same player exists in both teams at the same time.

Example:

  • I transferred Casemiro from Manchester United to Inter Miami.
  • After the transfer, Casemiro is still in Manchester United and also appears in Inter Miami.
  • If I play a friendly match between Manchester United and Inter Miami, Casemiro is available on both teams.

I also performed another test:

  • I transferred Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United to Free Agents.
  • Then I transferred him back to Newcastle United.
  • Instead of having one Bruno Guimarães, the game created a duplicate, and now Newcastle has two Bruno Guimarães players.

This issue only happens with certain players, while manual transfers work normally with others.

It appears that the manual transfer system is duplicating players instead of moving them correctly. Could you please investigate this bug?

    Basically, some players get duplicated because, instead of moving the player from one club to another, the game moves them from their national team to a club. As a result, they remain in their original club, and they also stay in the national team.

    I found a solution!

    I'll use Güler as an example. If I go to:

    Settings → Edit Teams → Club Transfers

    and search for Güler, I see that he's assigned to Turkey instead of Real Madrid. (Which doesn't make much sense since we're in a menu called "Club Transfers," but anyway...)

    So if I try to move Güler to another club besides Real Madrid, he gets duplicated.

    The only solution is to go to:

    Settings → Edit Teams → National Teams

    Select Turkey, since Güler is Turkish and selected for the national team, then remove him from the list of selected national team players.

    After doing that, if I transfer Güler, it works correctly and he is no longer duplicated.

    I’m experiencing this issue too…

    Take for example Carvajal, who you transfer to Free Agents. Then it’s still possible to play with him at Real Madrid. And he’s not with the national team…

    I've forward this onto the team, hopefully this can be looked at and if not solved, then hopefully not repeated in FC27.

    This is still not fixed. I tried transferring trosssrd to beskitas to start a new arsenal career and he was duplicated at both Arsenal and beskitas breaking my game as couldn’t swap him out of my team.

    Unfortunately, I don't know if it was looked into. :/ I would assume this probably won't get fixed this game and hope it won't be an issue in the next.
