How to defend against tiki-taka opponents?

So many tutorials tell you to right-stick switch players to cut passing lanes, avoid tackling so you don't lose balance. Yes I am aware of that. But the fact is if your opponent mostly does tiki taka, I now feel like I don't have time to right-stick switch to desired defender and move him to cut the passing lane. By the time I get to switch to this player, it is already late, the ball is moving to another direction. So normally my opponents get to go through my midfield really fast and I have to control my CBs, which is a pretty bad situation. Any tips on that?

Another question, so I get many 1 on 1 chances against the keeper, and I am using decent strikers such as cornerstone pina, evolved Openda. The keeper rushed out and I perform chip shot and it always misses (a little too left or too right). I have shooting auto assist on and this kind of miss never happened in previous FCs. These are clear scoring chances and I dont know how it can always miss. And it did not miss because I over-powered the shot, which is kind of unacceptable to me. Pretty sure that even if my left stick is not aiming the perfect direction, as long as it is not ridiculously mis-directioned, the shooting auto-assist should guarantee my shot is on target at least?

It's not necessarily about cutting all passing lanes, but more about where you think they are going to go with the play. Normally clear cut passing opportunities are easy read, but it's sometimes about leading your opponent where you want them to go. I personally play with player switching set to goal side, and right stick switching set to player relevant as it helps me keep better track of who I'm switching to, but that setting is different between players.

As for chip shots, I would recommend getting some practice in with precision shooting, once you get it down it enables you to score a lot of goals that you probably shouldn't. Unfortunately, assisted does not mean guaranteed on target and depending on whether you have the chip shot playstyle or not might make it less effective. Play a some games in kick off, or depending on if you play squad battles to a serious level or not you could use that to adapt. Precision shooting was put in place to be a bit of a skill gap compared to assisted, so it's likely that assisted isn't as useful in most situations. It just takes some time to learn, especially when aiming towards goal in pressure situations.
