I am trash in Fc 26

Man, I just can’t handle this game. I was solid back in FIFA 23 (my first FIFA), played decent in 24, even did alright in 25 (though I quit around spring ’cause I couldn’t keep up with the new cards and metas). But this year? I’m absolute trash. Built a stacked squad, got good cards, everyone’s on Shadows/Hunters, all boosted to the max. I’m even running meta tactics like 4-4-1-1, 4-4-2, 4-3-3(4). Still nothing. I’m getting clapped in Div 8 like I’ve never touched FIFA before. My average loss is like 5–6 goals down.

 

I have no clue how to defend — every pass I make gets intercepted. My strikers don’t make runs, and somehow every Chiesa or Doku rips the ball off me better than my Bastoni or Konaté do against opponents’ strikers right inside my own box.

 

Anyone else gone through this? How did you get past it? Maybe some off-meta tactics that actually worked? Drop your codes/strats, I’d appreciate it a ton 😓😓

    Other than 2 tweets saying "We're continuing to monitor your feedback on defence and dribbling", twice...

    It's real simple EA, nerf dribbling, at least slightly and buff defence across the board, massively.

    No goals feel special anymore, all goals are the same making gameplay repetitive, boring and a chore to play.

    Just because certain content creators and tryhard sweats had a "skill issue" as they say, in actually breaking down defences and wanted attacking to be easier doesn't make for good gameplay.

    Agreed, I still play my own tactics and formation and way. Not some copy paste by some so called pro.

    Would I win more playing the ratty way, sure but as you say there's no fun in that. Plus I like to actually play football and not be a fidget spinning, wait for non existent ai defence to part like the red sea and not tracks runs robot like everyone else.

    I’ve spent around £500 opening packs, got a stacked team, but I’m stuck at div 6 getting hammered. I win like 1 in 6 games, I’m stuck at the checkpoint in div 6 so I’ll never be relegated im just stuck getting battered every game. Really hate this game the defending is abysmal, opponents aren’t even playing football they’re just spinning around in circles and pausing/dribbling through my defence easy. I’ve played since fifa15 I’m not a bad player but this game is horrendous I will never fall for buying this game and spending money on it again.
