The game has been disgustingly bad for years. While EA still had a worthy competitor, it was awesome. The last couple of years, it turned more and more into an arcadish, bug infested, pay-to-win robotgame. Soulless, without any identity. Offense and defense are totally out of balance, tactical system doesn't work and you will find more football intelligence in a granny on meth than in this game.
Why people still play it? I guess out of habbit, because they like gambling and collecting, maybe because they already invested so much money they can't quit anymore? Me personally, I sometimes start it up out of nostalgia of how beautiful it once was, hoping for an update that might restore it back to its former glory. In vain, EA doesn't care anymore about developing good games. It's all about money.
EA is ruining every franchise that made them great. The football franchise is going downhill for years, if you check the BF forum, you see they are facing the same problems as on this on, and even Sims is full of bugs. My wife is playing Sims. After this morning 's update, family relationships were suddenly broken. She had a brother and sister who were making babies, can you believe that sh!t?! 🤣
