This is no longer the game we ordered on release!

This game is absolute trash! After purchasing FC26 on release I was enjoying the game, but since then EA have decided to make so many changes it is an absolute shambles of a game and I would not purchase it given its current state! Anybody else feel this way? I’ve just started to research as to whether it is possible to receive a refund due to what I have mentioned above and it does not seem impossible as much as EA will say it is.

it will be a difficult process but if anybody else feels EA have made major unforeseen changes since release, and ruined the game we should push for compensation!

  • I suppose equally if you purchase a product and it isn't in a perfect working state from day one you would want a refund or a fix to be put in place.

This game was not totally fit for purpose day one either.

Stupid kick off goals. Stupid corner kick routines that could not be defended. Stupid non stop turning in circles (fidget spinning) to score goals in the box. Used that much that no one would bother trying to score other types of goals.

Defenders could not jockey properly. Attackers were too agile vs defenders

So many people were exploiting defensive drop back.

So many people were spamming stupid rainbow flicks in to volley goals. Even known to be scored 5 times in one match all from the same area around 18 yard box.

Wingers did not make smart runs. Strikers made little to no runs.

Goalkeepers we're rubbish at near post shots.

I could name a lot more.

The game was in need of fixes.

NOW. If EA can sort those out who don't try and defend and take ownership of trying to win the ball. Reduce 2nd man press (At least more stamina hit). Nerf skill moves in to the ground. The game could be a master piece.

  • Subject: Refund Request – FC 26 (EU/Norwegian Consumer Rights)

    Message:

    Hello,

I purchased FC 26 on the PlayStation Store on [purchase date] (Order Number: [insert order number], PSN ID: [insert PSN ID]).

At the time of purchase, the game did not fully match the features or gameplay promised in its marketing and store description, though it was still playable. However, recent updates have significantly worsened gameplay, introducing changes and issues that make the game less functional and even further from what was promised, reducing its value substantially.

Under EU and Norwegian consumer protection laws, digital products must be fit for purpose and as described at the time of purchase. Since updates have degraded the product further, the game is now clearly not as described and not fit for purpose, entitling me to a full refund.

I request a full refund to my original payment method. I can provide documentation of the updates and gameplay issues if needed. I would appreciate a response within 14 days, in line with EU consumer protection guidelines.

Thank you for your prompt attention.

    Best regards,

  • Agreed. The game was far from perfect on release day, but it WAS playable/enjoyable. Now it's just a dumpster fire.

I doubt whether or not anyone is actually having fun playing this game. It's just an absolute sweat fest. Even when I make claw back a goal to make 3-5 my opponent just starts sissy passing in the backfield. Or if I take an early lead, they score an equalizer and immediately quit.

I'm not very good, but this makes it even more difficult to progress.
