The meta is just sad to play, in offense spam triangle to get the incicive pass that even when marking the player manually somehow goes thru. On defense, tape on the R1 button, get a hold of your CDM...

Who was the guy that thought, oh wow the game is lacking defense, lets add R1 defending, and then thought nah, one player for R1 defending isn’t enough, lets add a feature that double pressing the R1 will track two players of the opponent at the same time.
Like if the developers actually played the game and enjoy it they would never add stuff like this.
