What is EA doing?

Since the last update, my attacking players became less intelligent (if that's even possible). It feels like my opponent barely needs to defend. STs are running offsides and blocking my CAMs' shots. CAMs/CMs are running into my CDMs and causing them to lose possession. The passing feels way off. I lightly tap the pass button and it tries to shoot it to the LW/RW instead of the striker to side of me. If I try a back pass from my ST to the CAM, it feels like it's trying to pass it to the CB.

Are these bad connection issues? Is anyone else having these issues?
