I'm honestly furious with myself, wanting to play a football game in my spare time I've always had these same issues. Which is why I stopped buying FIFA. I crumbled and bought it after the 10 hour demo was really nice to play.
As soon as I purchased it, gameplay was inconsistent and delayed - always on my end by the way. I won most of my matches but it wasnt fun. Why is delay always my end?
Since the last time I bought FIFA and had these same issues - I've moved home, had a new set up and ISP, I'm running over 800mb speeds on an ethernet cable, every other game works fine. Yet I have the same issues with inconsistent gameplay. I'm on PS5 using an edge controller.
I've been out the loop in terms of the politics of the community and the server or whatever it is issues that I'm sure a lot of others are having, can anyone update me on whats going on and if they are aware or want to fix it? I thought this game was meant to listen to the community.
Please share your experiences - I want to know why only some of us seem to feel these delated issues. Some of my issues below...

Players run the wrong way when switching to them
Opponents know when I'm turning before I do it as the animation is that slow.
Players taking half a second to react to my input when switching to them
Players can't make sharp turns or change direction / adjust there run direction
AI players standing still or jogging back when bering countered on / ai players not involved in the game even if the ball is by them
Players not sprinting
Direction of passing going the wrong way
Team tactics not being followed by ai in terms of forward runs
Players never being anywhere near opposition players when trying to win the ball back
Players not being able to control the ball - it just bounces off them even high skilled players
are there any fixes for this? I'm in Liverpool - it cant be a server issue still now come on?

I'm in the same boat as you. I stopped playing these games as soon as it became overtly pay to win, but I caved because I couldn't contain my excitement over the WC next summer. It feels like I'm battling the connection more than I'm battling my opponents. Stuttering while I'm powering up my shots and corner kicks. It freezes for a fraction of a second when I'm jockeying and when it comes back, my RB runs out of bounds and the LW is 1v1 with the GK.
I've read online that unstable connect can cause your players to have poor ball control. I know it creates problems for me when dribbling. I'm charging down the left wing and turn my left stick counter clockwise from 7 o'clock to 2 o'clock. My player should turn wide and create separation before dribbling inside. What ends up happening is my player turning directly into the CB/CDM or my player flicking the ball inside as if I went from 7 to 2 directly.
I can handle losing to better players (low bar). But it's difficult to accept a loss because of some BS like your gameplay clip above.
This is especially frustrating because of the poultry rewards for completing huge objectives and SBCs. Seems like they are really promoting packs in the store. I spent $100 on the Ultimate edition and that was $200 too many.
