Can't log in (says trial has expired)

I own FC26 standard and was previously subscribed to Xbox ultimate game pass. 

I downgraded to essential and now it won't let me start fc 26 - says the trial has expired. 

It clearly shows I own the game, I've uninstalled/re-installed but it.. just won't let me in.
