Connecting to Ultimate Team not possible

I have no idea if it is coincidence or something in these steps fixed it.  I had to travel so figured I would just wait until I got back to see if the issue was resolved.  It was not and I was getting the same errors as before.  Also, for these steps I am on PC using EA App.

1  I used Help -> App Recovery to clear my app cache.

2  I logged out of the ea app

3  I logged into my ea account via a browser, not the app.

4  I changed my username (not sure if this is necessary but I was trying to do any action to force an update on my account record)

5  I added a phone number for multi authenticationm

6 I cleared out all trusted devices.

7  I logged back into the ea app and used my phone for mfa

8  It showed my new user name and ultime team worked on my next login.  Hope that helps someone.
