Controller does not work properly (PC)

Hello,

I switched from PS5 to PC for this year and I am having issues using my controller on pc. 

Basically, the controller does not work properly at all. In the menus, it usually takes many tries to press x to confirm in menus, and when navigating using the bumpers it will just randomly stop and start. In actual games (off/online) it's a similar story. I try to pass, and it simply doesn't work a lot of the time, and I have to spam the button in hopes it actually works. 

I enabled the overlay in game, and it isn't registering the input at all. This is weird, because the controller works fine in other games (I was playing skate yesterday with no issues), and doing controller tests on websites all of the buttons work perfectly. I am using a dualsense, but I also have a gamesir controller with the nexus software installed. Both worked the same way (poorly).

The game seems to run well enough (Using a laptop with Ryzen 9 7940HS and RTX 4060 Laptop), other than lag in cutscenes but I don't think that is the issue.
