controller problems

When I first got the game, everything worked perfectly. I was playing with my Xbox controller without any issues. However, about two days ago, my controller suddenly stopped working properly.

I can't move around in the game, and the only button that seems to work is the Xbox logo button, which brings up the Steam overlay. When I'm in the game's menu and move the joysticks, sometimes they eventually respond, but the input is delayed by several seconds, making the game unplayable.

I've spent a lot of time searching YouTube and asking AI for solutions, but nothing has worked so far. I really enjoy this game and want to keep playing it, but if this problem continues, I don't know what else to do.

I've also tested multiple controllers, and they all have the exact same issue, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the controller itself.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
