Subject: FC 26 Will Not Launch on PC - Black Screen Then Crash - 0xC0000005
Hello EA Support,
I have been unable to launch EA SPORTS FC 26 on my PC for over a month. The game previously worked normally on this same computer, but it suddenly stopped launching.
Every time I launch FC 26, the game window opens to a black screen for approximately 3 to 5 seconds and then completely closes, returning me to the EA App. It happens at the exact same point every single time.
I have already tried extensive troubleshooting.
I repaired FC 26 multiple times.
I completely uninstalled and reinstalled FC 26 multiple times.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App.
I cleared the EA App cache.
I reinstalled EA Javelin AntiCheat.
I updated and reinstalled my NVIDIA graphics drivers.
I removed Riot Vanguard to rule out an anti-cheat conflict.
I disabled overlays and unnecessary background applications.
I installed FC 26 on a different drive.
I moved FC 26 from my HDD to my Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD.
I tested other EA games.
Skate launches and runs normally through the same EA App.
I checked DirectX and DxDiag, which report no GPU or display problems.
I updated Windows 11.
Most importantly, I performed a complete factory reset of Windows and then installed FC 26 fresh on the SSD. The exact same crash continued afterward.
My current system is Windows 11 Pro 25H2, OS Build 26200.9278, Intel Core i9-9900K, NVIDIA RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB, 32GB RAM, Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD, and DirectX 12.
I have also generated FC26.exe crash dumps. The crash I investigated shows FC26.exe with exception code 0xC0000005, which is an Access Violation.
I am aware that EA has acknowledged an issue involving Windows updates, certificate validation, and EA Javelin AntiCheat preventing certain EA games from launching.
I have updated Windows to the latest version available to me, including KB5120998, which updated my system to OS Build 26200.9278. FC 26 still crashes in exactly the same way.
At this point, I do not believe additional basic troubleshooting such as repairing the game, clearing the EA App cache, reinstalling FC 26, or reinstalling drivers is going to resolve the issue. I have already gone as far as completely resetting Windows and reinstalling everything from scratch.
Please escalate this case to the appropriate FC 26 PC or EA Javelin AntiCheat technical team.
I can provide my DxDiag, FC26.exe crash dump files, Windows Event Viewer information, or any additional logs your technical team needs.
I would specifically like to know whether my crash is related to the currently acknowledged Windows and Javelin AntiCheat certificate issue or another known FC 26 PC launch issue.
Thank you.
