I found a fix that worked for me - I had to turn off Nvidia Overlay and the instant replay feature. If you could get away with just turning off the instant replay (for example if you are about to go into a penalty shootout, if you toggle off Instant Replay will that work? No idea).

P.S. EA couldn't be bothered to even check-in on us - over 3 months. I also posted @ their social accounts for longer than that.
