EA FC 26 PC Hard Freeze on RTX 40 Laptop (Optimus?)
EA FC 26 causes a full system hard freeze on my laptop. During gameplay (usually when a match starts), the entire PC locks up: Alt+Tab does not work, Task Manager cannot open, Caps Lock light does not respond, and audio freezes or cuts out. Only a forced power-off works.
After reboot, Event Viewer shows Kernel-Power (41) and EventLog 6008 (sometimes Kernel-PnP 219).
System: RTX 4050 Laptop GPU + Intel iGPU (Optimus), Windows 11.
Tried: DDU clean installs, multiple NVIDIA drivers (including older 537.58), forcing the game to use the RTX GPU, and NVIDIA power/3D settings. No change. Other games run fine.
Seems like a kernel-level issue with EA FC 26 on hybrid GPU (Optimus) laptops. Anyone else with RTX 40-series laptops seeing this? Any workaround (external monitor, MUX/dGPU-only, etc.)?
