FC 26 on PC causes BSOD: eaanticheat.sys KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (0x1E)
Hello,
EA SPORTS FC 26 causes Windows BSOD crashes on my PC during launch.
WinDbg analysis of two original minidumps shows:
- KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (0x1E)
- Access violation 0xC0000005
- Faulting module: eaanticheat.sys
- Both crashes show the same invalid memory-read pattern.
A third dump shows EA AntiCheat Game Service (eaanticheat.gameservice.exe) crashing with the same 0xC0000005 pattern. After removing MSI Center and disconnecting the controller, the BSOD stopped, but FC 26 still exits to desktop.
Already tried:
- Clean Windows 11 installation
- Clean NVIDIA driver installation
- FC 26 repair
- Complete EA Javelin Anticheat uninstall/reinstall
- Secure Boot enabled
- EA in-game overlay disabled
- SFC and CHKDSK clean; no WHEA hardware errors
Has anyone else had this exact eaanticheat.sys BSOD or silent exit in FC 26? Is there an official workaround or a way for this to be escalated to the EA Javelin Anticheat team?
I can provide the original minidumps privately if an EA staff member needs them.
