FC 26 on PS5 cannot connect to EA servers, while Companion App works
Hello,
I cannot access Ultimate Team in EA SPORTS FC 26 on PS5. PSN is connected and other PlayStation online services work normally.
When I try to enter Ultimate Team, I receive this message:
“The EA servers are unavailable right now. Please try again later. See ea.com/unable-to-connect for more information.”
The FC 26 Companion App on iOS currently works and I can access my Ultimate Team club. My EA account is correctly linked to the same PlayStation Network account used on my PS5 (nolwendro). There are no visible account-linking issues.
I have already tried:
- Fully restarting FC 26 and the PS5
- Restarting the router
- Checking for FC 26 and PS5 system updates
- Restoring licenses on PS5
- Clearing the PS5 system software cache in Safe Mode
- Changing DNS to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1)
- Closing the Companion App before launching FC 26
- Signing out of PSN, restarting the PS5, and signing back in
- Checking my EA account connections and confirming that the correct PSN account is linked
I have not unlinked my PSN account from EA. Could this be an account/session synchronization issue affecting only the PS5 version of FC 26? Please advise whether EA Support needs to refresh the console session or account connection.
