FC 26 PS5 Unable to Connect to EA Servers – All Fixes Tried

Hi EA,

I'm at my wit's end with this issue and hoping someone here can help because I've exhausted every self-service fix available.

Platform: PS5
Game: EA Sports FC 26

Issue: Every time I open FC 26 I get the following error: "You have lost your online connection. You will not be able to access FC's online features until you can reconnect to EA servers."

Here's what makes this particularly frustrating — FC 25 connects to EA servers perfectly every single time. Every other online game I own works fine. My PSN is active. My internet connection is stable. This is 100% specific to FC 26.

Here is everything I have tried:

1. Reinstalled FC 26 multiple times — no change

2. Restarted my PS5 and router — no change

3. Discovered my EA account wasn't appearing in PS5 Linked Services — linked it through ea.com

4. Changed DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 — no change

5. Tested on mobile hotspot to completely bypass my home network — no change

6. Unlinked my EA account from PSN on ea.com, booted FC 26, scanned the in-game QR code and relinked through the game itself — still no change

7. Rebuilt the PS5 database via Safe Mode (Clear Cache and Rebuild Database) — no change

8. Tried every other suggested solution on the forum - no change

The most important detail: I logged into my friend's EA and PSN account on my PS5 to test. His account connects to EA servers perfectly on his own PS5, but on MY PS5 it also failed to connect. This means the issue is not my account, not my network, and not my internet connection. It is something specific about my PS5 console being rejected by EA's servers when it comes to FC 26.

I have been dealing with this for a long time and have spent hours trying to fix it. I paid full price for this game and cannot access any of its online features. I've tried to reach EA support via live chat but have been unable to find the option.

I am requesting that an EA advisor investigates this at a backend level — specifically whether my console ID has been flagged or blocked in EA's system, and performs a backend session reset. This is not something I can fix from my end.

Please help.

  • Included attempts of fixing it also include: rebooting router and Console and connecting them together with a cable rather than wirelessly, then retry when back online. + Wireless Hotspots.
