Seriously? Seriously, the PS5 is overheating? Don't tell me? That's obvious! The problem is precisely that, and this problem is occurring with countless players, if not thousands, worldwide... there has to be an explanation and an immediate solution for a game as expensive as this to simply overheat, shut down the console, and become completely unplayable while other games run normally. Nobody's kidding here.
There are millions of PS5s out there. It wouldn't be surprising to find out some are very dirty after years of use. The best I can advise is to make sure yours is as clean as can be. This may mean opening it up and cleaning out any internal debris.

I know this is the only option EA gives as an answer, but my PS5 came back from a Sony specialized technical assistance center completely clean and well cared for, and the problem persisted, only with this game. It's not at all difficult to find other reports of people who, even with a newly purchased console, can't play FC26 due to the same problem, while other games that demand more from the machine work smoothly. Total disregard from this company.

I'm not going to 100% claim there's no issue with the game causing this. We've had similar reports with the last couple of NHL games, but have not been able to reproduce this. I'm not sure if it's the same for FC. Without being able to reproduce it though, our engineers couldn't provide a fix.
