FC 26 Won't Launch - Account/Cloud-Specific Issue

A few weeks ago I force closed EA FC 26, and ever since I can no longer play the game as it does not launch.

After troubleshooting using all the methods suggested on here, none worked. I realised when I log into my friend's account who also has the game and try to launch, it works fine on my PC. I then tried logging into my account on my friend's PC and the game doesn't launch for my account there either, so this is not a local problem but an account problem. I've checked for bans on my account and I have none.

What happens:

  • Anti-cheat splash screen appears and closes
  • Black window opens briefly
  • Game closes and redirects me to the EA app
  • No error message displayed

Testing I've done:

  • Verified game files - no issues found
  • Updated all drivers
  • Deleted and reinstalled the game
  • Tried launching offline with no WiFi
  • Deleted all local save data and cloud sync files
  • My account crashes the game on multiple PCs
  • Other accounts launch the game fine on my PC

This is clearly an account issue due to corrupted cloud data or profile corruption on EA's servers. I've found no way to fix this locally.

  • Hello, try putting your PC offline then uninstall and reinstall EA Javelin anti cheat then connect to the internet again and check if it works, if it doesn't work you can try clearing the cache of the EA app, if it still doesn't work you can first make a backup of the EA SPORT 26 folder (located in C:\Users\your user\AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 26) then delete the original folder so as to force the game to recreate clean data from the last update.

Thank you so much this worked! After so much troubleshooting this was the only thing that worked. More specifically what I did:

    1. Ensure all ea processes are closed
    2. Turn WiFi off
    3. Uninstall and reinstall anticheat
    4. Delete EA FC 26 folder located at C:\Users\your user\AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 26
    5. Run EA FC 26 (while being offline)

Hello, I've already done it and it simply created clean files on startup without deleting my progress in fut, but I recommend you make a backup of that folder just to be safe before deleting it, you never know

Hello, you need to manually backup only the EA FC 26 folder located in C:\Users\your user\AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 26. Copy and paste the EA SPORTS FC 26 folder to your desktop or any folder you like, then delete the original folder to force the game to recreate clean files from the latest update. Do this with your PC disconnected from the internet and with the app closed, even in the background.

I don't know if it's my fault or just the game's, but it still doesn't work...
