FC26 Crashes on Launch / Unable to Play Online
Hello,
Yesterday i bought FC26 on Steam, and I’m having major issues with the game. When I try to open it (either through Steam or the EA app), I hear some beep sounds, and then:
- TODAY: Either the game just crashes before the game opens, or
- YESTERDAY: It loads but shows the message: “Unable to load information from the server. Please try again later”, preventing me from playing online.
Yesterday it was showing the server error, but today it crashes immediately when I try to launch it.
I also have FC25 installed, which works fine — this problem is only with FC26.
I’ve tried nearly everything I can think of:
- Uninstalling and reinstalling EA Anti-Cheat
- Verifying game files
- Deleting directories and reinstalling the game
- Deleting all .dlf files in C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License
Nothing has worked so far.
I also bought EA Play to play the game 10 hours early. I wonder if that might be causing an issue, as maybe the game thinks I’m using a trial version.
I’ve been playing FIFA/FC on PC since FIFA 23 and never had this kind of problem before. The EA help articles didn’t resolve anything either.
Does anyone know a solution, or can EA provide technical support for this? I’m currently unable to play online or even launch the game properly.
