Fifa Points

I have tried to purchase fifa points from the store on PC , when purchasing I am directed to steam where I am asked to add funds to my wallet to be able to complete the purchase , I have added 100 dollars to my account and when I go back to the game and purchase , a message shows up on my screen saying that there is an error with the FC store checkout , I tried multiple times to restart my game and find a way for it to work and nothing is changing , The EA support team is not able to tell me what is the problem and are telling me to wait , and Steam do not give any refunds so what am I supposed to do now , I have just lost a 100 dollars ? this is unacceptable I am going to need an explanation from EA or any help from anyone who may have a solution for this problem.
