I just got the game and jumped into rivals and the players seem to move on their own and my inputs sometimes register with a hefty delay or not at all. I tried messing around with the display settings and turned off cross-play. Nothing seems to be working. I am using a nacon controller.
This happens to many people from the start of the game. You're unlucky if you don't play this game. No settings will help, and thousands of people have tried everything for half a year and haven't been able to find a solution. Before the TOTY event, EA pretended to try to fix the situation, but after the money was received, it was gone. There's no refund, as it's stated in the game's agreement. I recommend forgetting about this game on PC. This has been happening since 2024. The game's code was written for FIFA 17, and what we're seeing are regular updates that put too much load on the code. The consoles are struggling to cope. So, look forward to the next generation, and in the meantime, FIFA 17 will be unplayable on PC, as well as FC27,28,29
