i just fixed the 0xC0000005 crashes in fc 26!
Hey everyone,
If your FC 26 keeps crashing straight to desktop with the 0xC0000005 memory access violation error (or closing randomly mid-match/in menus), here is the exact solution that 100% fixed it for me.
My specs are an i7-14700KF with an MSI Z790 motherboard and DDR5 RAM. The issue turned out to be the older motherboard BIOS running "unlimited" power settings (4096W), which caused voltage spikes in the CPU's memory controller under load.
Step-by-Step Fix:
1-Update Your Motherboard BIOS:
Download the latest BIOS update from your motherboard manufacturer's website (MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte, ASRock) that includes Intel microcode 0x12B or 0x12F. Flash it using a USB drive in your BIOS.
2-Enforce Intel Default Settings:
In your BIOS setup, find the CPU power profile and select "Intel Default Settings" (or "Intel Baseline"). Make sure PL1/PL2 are locked at 253W and IccMax at 307A. Do NOT leave it on "Unlimited" or "Water Cooler".
3-Re-Enable XMP:
Turn your RAM's XMP profile back on so your memory runs at its rated speed (e.g., 5600 MHz).
Results:
I tested this by playing for more than 5 hours and leaving the game sitting in the Pro Clubs menu for over 2 hours straight with zero crashes. Temps are much lower, and FPS/gameplay smoothness is completely unchanged.
If you have a 13th or 14th Gen Intel processor and keep getting 0xC0000005 in FC 26, update your BIOS and lock in the 253W limit!
