Input Delay in Online Game Modes post patch

Has anyone else experienced unplayable games in online games in Ultimate Team since the new patch? I can play as many squad battles games as possible and the gameplay is fine but as soon as I play a rivals/champs/rush game the game starts lagging and my input delay ends up at about 1-2 seconds. Then if I go back in to a squad battles game that gameplay is also really slow. Menus are always fine however. I have not had this before the latest patch came out, my PC specs and internet connection are fine.
