Massive controller input delay on PC makes the game unplayable
I’m honestly at a point where I don’t understand how this can be considered acceptable in a modern AAA sports game.
On PC, the controller input delay can reach absurd levels. This is not a small “online delay” or a competitive disadvantage — this is game-breaking.
Let me be very clear:
- FPS is stable
- Performance is fine
- Ping is around 4
- The game looks smooth
Yet the controls feel completely disconnected from player actions.
This is not normal, and this is not how the game used to feel month ago.
- The issue is clearly online-related
- It does not appear nearly as bad when playing against AI
- It can appear suddenly after one match, without changing any settings
I have exhausted all local troubleshooting
To remove any doubt that this could be a user-side issue, I have already done the following:
- Fresh Windows reinstall
- Fresh game reinstall
- Fresh NVIDIA driver reinstall
Tested multiple different controllers:
- Xbox controller
- DualSense
- Razer controller
- 8BitDo controller
Wired connections and wireless
Tried all common performance and latency settings:
- 60 FPS locks
- V-Sync ON / OFF
- G-SYNC OFF
- Different refresh rates
- Fullscreen vs borderless
- Power plans, USB power saving, overlays disabled
None of this resolves the issue.
I just want to understand what is actually broken here, because in its current state the game is completely unplayable.
