Massive FPS drops (down to < 10)

Hi!

I bought the game last weekend, and it had been running smoothly until now.

Today, it has become unplayable. Whenever I start a new match (on or offline), the FPS drops from around 60 (while in the menu) to less than 10 for seemingly no reason, it doesn't matter how low I set my graphics to. Then, once I quit the match, the FPS stays super low, and my GPS use jumps to 100%.

I have already tried different graphic settings, uninstalling and reinstalling the game and updating my GPU driver with no luck.

I'm really considering just asking for a refund at this point...

PC Specs:

  • CPU - Intel Core i5 12400
  • RAM - 16 GB
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
  • Hello, I had the same problems too. First, set the settings you play well with in the eafc 26 menu, either from the nvidia app or directly from the fcsetup.ini file. Then, try setting the configuration files (fcsetup.ini, fcsetup_default.ini, overrideAutodetect.lua) to read-only first, and then deny them write access for each user. That's how I solved it. However, I think the biggest problems or the settings that should be lowered are the rendering scale (even lowering the normal resolution to 720p, 1080p caused a drop in fps with the rendering scale at 100), Ambient Occlusion to medium-low, and setting Hair Strands to off. I hope this helps you solve the problem.

    Hello!

This seemed to have worked to some extent. I was even able to play an entire match! Thank you! 🙂

But my FPS seems to be capped at < 32 however, even though I have lowered some of the graphic definitions. Did you also have that problem? Also, it was defaults to windowed mode.

My fcsetup.ini looks like this right now:

    Here's overrideAutodetect.lua:

  • Hello, try setting MAX_FRAME_RATE = 60  TARGET_FRAME_RATE = 60 in fcsetup.ini and check that there aren't any limiters active in the NVIDIA app or other applications. Use high performance on your PC. Also check that there are no applications open in the background other than the game.

Before I saw this reply, I solved my issue by lowering the crowd settings from medium to low – everything else stayed the same.

But I'll keep your suggestions in mind, in case I have problems again in the future. Thank you!
