New player, unable to play without manager

Brand new player, played a few matches but cannot play any longer.  Trying to do Squad Battles in Ultimate Team but get the message that I must assign a manager.  Unfortunately I do not have any managers.  I must have quick sold the default manager because I have 0 managers.  Tried using coins to buy packs to find a new manager but no luck and no longer have enough coins to buy a new pack.  Cannot play a match to earn more coins without a manager.  Cannot access the Transfer Market since the required objectives have not been met.  Cannot meet the objectives without playing matches, and need a manager for this. 

Is there any way to proceed from here?  How can I play Ultimate Team Squad Battles now?
