Not receiving verification emails

When i attempt to login to the online servers on FC26 i am met with a screen that says i need to enter a verification code sent to my email. The email on screen is the correct email but i still dont recieve them. I created an EA account with this same email and attempted to pair it with my playstation account only to be told that there is already an EA account paired to my playstation account. I have played Fifas in the past but i don't really know what account that could be. I also assume that this account would be irrelevant as the email the game claims to be sending the verification codes to is my correct email.
