PC – Severe progressive input delay in online matches (Offline works perfectly)
Hello,
I’m experiencing a serious input delay issue on PC in EA SPORTS FC 26, and I want to report it clearly because this is not normal lag or FPS problems.
Platform: PC (Windows 11)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: RTX 2060 Super
Connection: Wired Ethernet (Cat6)
Controller: Wired (tested multiple controllers)
Problem description
- The game runs at stable FPS and looks smooth
- Offline Kick-Off works perfectly with instant input
- In online modes (especially Rivals):
- Matches start feeling normal
- After a few seconds or minutes, controller inputs start registering 1–5 seconds late
- The delay gets worse and worse as the match goes on
- It never recovers until the match ends
- Restarting the game temporarily resets the issue
This is not graphical lag, stuttering, or FPS drops.
It feels like inputs are being buffered instead of processed.
What I have already ruled out
- Not a controller issue (tested multiple, wired)
- Not a PC performance issue
- Not a hardware or power issue
- Not dust / overheating
- Other games work fine
- Offline FC gameplay is flawless
Troubleshooting already done
- HPET configuration
- Run game as administrator
- Game Mode OFF
- Xbox Game Bar OFF
- Memory Integrity OFF
- NVIDIA Low Latency Mode enabled
- Stable wired internet
Conclusion
This appears to be a PC-specific online input buffering / server desync issue in FC 26.
Offline gameplay confirms the PC and controller are functioning correctly.
I’m posting this to:
- Confirm if other PC players experience the same issue
- Ask if EA is aware of progressive input delay on PC
- Request investigation by the network / gameplay team
Thanks for reading.
