PC Controller NOT WORKING online - Why it fails and how to temporarily solve it

If you are facing problems with PC controllers and your controller does this: Works perfectly in offline: moments, squad battles, ... At online matches: rivals, tournaments works for a few seconds...

im playing squad battle its fine but when i play rivals my controller doesnt work any idea?

im playing on pc

whenever I play rivals mode in ultimate team my controller keeps bugging and stops controlling players or the game as a whole some  times it comes back to normal and some other times I have to go to menu while in game to some kinda regain control with my controller. This game made me lose several matches until now and even the game considers me afk while my controller is on and wire connected and functioning totally well ps: in any other game mode in game even in ultimate team this never happens
