Rivals not responsive

I play on PC with a dual sense ps5 controller. Whenever I play an offline game like squad battles, my controller works perfectly. Whenever I play rivals, I can never move, shoot or pass with either my controller or keyboard. Even though rush is an online gamemode it works fine. If I press esc on my keyboard to leave the game my controller works perfect again. If I press resume, it doesn't work anymore. If I leave the game, it works perfectly again. 

Does anyone (e.g. ea support) know how to overcome this problem?
